The Torah tells us that when Moses protested that he could not go before Pharaoh because he could not speak, G-d answers:
"…….See, I place you in the role of God to Pharaoh, with your brother Aaron as your prophet.'” (Exodus 7:1)
What an astonishing statement! What could it mean? A quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson suggests one answer —
"A man is a little thing while he works by and for himself, but when he gives voice to the rules of love and justice, he is godlike.”
Rabbi Marc D. Rudolph
