Meet Sarah Ferrao, the dynamic Preschool Director at Congregation Beth Shalom Preschool.

Bringing over 20 years of rich experience in early childhood education, Sarah’s career is distinguished by her commitment to creating learning environments that foster both academic and emotional development. She has spent a significant portion of her career teaching in various preschools and daycare centers, with sixteen of those years dedicated to integrating her passion for Jewish educational values.

Sarah earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northeastern Illinois University and has expanded her expertise with graduate studies in English as a Second Language. Her commitment to lifelong learning is a cornerstone of her professional ethos.

Sarah is a devoted fiancée and a loving mother of two children: her daughter, nearly 12 years old, currently thriving in 6th grade, and her son, 10 years old, navigating the challenges of 4th grade. Her personal life enriches her professional approach, bringing
a deep sense of care and connection to her role as an educator.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys engaging in creative hobbies such as scrapbooking and crafting, and she prioritizes a healthy lifestyle that she shares with her students. As she prepares for another school year, Sarah is eager to welcome new faces into her classroom, ensuring a year filled with comprehensive learning, creativity, and adventure.
