Meet Bridge Biernacki, the Interim Education Director at Congregation Beth Shalom Religious School.
Bridge has been an active member of Congregation Beth Shalom for the past decade serving in multiple leadership roles each highlighting her dedication to our community and passion for Judaism. She served as the leader of Kibbutz Katan, organizing activities and leading services for the High Holidays until stepping onto the CBS Board in 2019. During her time on the CBS Board she worked on expanding membership as well as creating new and engaging events for our CBS community including the annual, “All-Ages Gaga Tournament & BBQ” and our in house spiritual retreat “Ruach Renewal.”
Bridge earned her Master’s Degree in Medical Anthropology from the University of
Memphis specializing in working with at-risk youth and focusing on community
engagement. She worked at The Urban Child Institute as well as served as Adjunct
Faculty teaching undergraduate courses in cultural and physical anthropology at the University of Memphis. Her passion for education and outreach are what drives her and strengthens her resolve to genuinely embrace the value of “tikkun olam”.
Bridge is a loving “soccer mom” to two active boys: an 11 year old trombone playing, midfielder, Scout loving bibliophile; and an 8 year old ninja/parkour, goalie, piano playing cat lover. Bridge is also a Cub Scout Den Leader for Pack 887 and voracious reader and member of her neighborhood book club. She is completely smitten with her devoted and loving husband of 13 years and dog mom to their 100lb Airedale Terrier, Pepper.
